MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERACY

1

Media has a big role in our society where people can communicate and deliver information directly. The term media comes from the word medium which is defined as “channel” “means” or “method”. It  includes every broadcasting and narrowcasting medium such as newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, billboards, direct mail, telephone, fax, and internet.

  • MASS MEDIA or the media that reach large audiences. The technologies through which this communication takes place include a variety of outlets. Broadcast media transmit information electronically via media such as films, radio, recorded music, or television are examples of it.

                         FORMS OF MEDIA

  1. PRINT MEDIA 2    It refers to paper publications like newspapers, books, magazines, newsletters and journals. Before the invention and widespread use of printing presses, printed materials had to be written by hand. It was a painstaking process that made mass distribution impossible.

  2. BROADCAST MEDIA3
It includes radio and television — media that initially used the airwaves to reach their audience.

  3. NEW MEDIA 4

  4. New media is used to describe content made available using different forms of electronic communication made possible through the use of computer technology. Generally, the phrase new media describes content available on-demand through the Internet

“TRAVEL IS CALLING AND I MUST GO”

Being given with the means and opportunities to travel has always been one of the things I am most thankful for because I have always loved it. It does not matter where the place is, whether domestic or international, I am always up for going places and learning about the culture of the people and locals there.

SO TAKE EVERY CHANCE YOU GET IN LIFE BECAUSE SOME THINGS ONLY HAPPEN ONCE
